This Privacy Policy explains how Quick Meals (DBA of Zinsworks, LLC) ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Quick Meals mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Authentication

Email address you provide to create an account or log in.
Password (stored only as a secure hash; we never store raw passwords).
If you sign in with Apple or Google (when enabled): we receive your name and email from those services. Apple may provide a private relay email.

1.2 App Content & Activity

Recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, favorites, and preferences you create in the App.
Support messages you send us.

1.3 Device & Usage

Log data (e.g., IP address, device type, OS version, timestamps) collected automatically to secure and operate the App.
Approximate location (derived from IP) for security and fraud prevention; we do not collect precise GPS location.
We do not collect, store, or share personal audio recordings. The app does not access the microphone unless the user explicitly engages a feature that requires it.

1.4 User-Uploaded Photos

When you upload a photo (e.g., to a recipe, meal plan, or profile), we store that image on secure servers.
These photos are used solely to display content you create in the app. We do not use image data for advertising or analytics.
Uploaded photos may include metadata (such as timestamps) that are automatically provided by your device; we do not extract or analyze this data.

1.5 Cookies & Local Storage

We may use cookies or local/device storage to keep you signed in and remember settings. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

1.6 No Sensitive Categories

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as health information.

2. How We Use Information

We process your information to:

Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
To display and manage your content. We use your uploaded photos to personalize your experience (for example, showing you your recipe images).
Provide core features (e.g., saving recipes, building shopping lists).
To maintain app functionality. Photos may be processed or resized to improve app performance and storage efficiency.
Send service messages (e.g., password reset).
Monitor, protect, and improve the App (debugging, preventing abuse).
Comply with legal obligations.

If and when we introduce optional features (e.g., email newsletters or analytics), we will update this Policy and, where required, request your consent.

2.1 Communications

We may use your email address to:

Send you important service or security updates related to your account or the App.
Respond to feedback, questions, or support requests you submit.
Share occasional updates about new features or improvements to the App.

You can opt out of non-essential (non-transactional) emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those messages or by contacting us through the Contact option in the app.

2.2 Marketing Emails

If you choose to opt in, we may use your email address to send you occasional marketing communications about new features, updates, offers, or other news related to Quick Meals.

You will only receive these messages if you have explicitly opted in (for example, by checking the marketing email box during signup or in your account settings).
You can change your marketing preferences or unsubscribe at any time by updating your settings in the app or by following the unsubscribe link included in every marketing email.

We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

We rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract (to provide the App).
Legitimate interests (e.g., security, improvement, anti‑fraud) where not overridden by your rights.
Consent for optional features where required (you may withdraw consent at any time).
Legal obligation (to comply with law).

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing your personal information for marketing purposes is your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by changing your preferences or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

If you choose to make your personal recipes public or share them within the app, your uploaded photos may be visible to other users along with your display name.
We do not share user-uploaded images with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting).
Service providers/Processors that help us run the App, under contract:
- Bubble Group, Inc. – hosting and app platform.
- Email service provider used by Bubble to send transactional emails (for password reset/notifications).
- Authentication providers (Apple/Google) if you use those sign‑in options.
Legal & Safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers: if we engage in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer subject to this Policy.

5. International Transfers

We and our processors may store and process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Uploaded photos are stored as long as your account or the associated content remains active. If you delete a recipe or your account, associated photos are permanently deleted from our systems within a reasonable period.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. You can:

Update your information in the App.
Delete your account in the App or by contacting us here Contact | Quick Meals App.
Opt out of optional emails by following unsubscribe links.
You can delete uploaded photos at any time by removing the related recipe or replacing the image. Deleting a recipe will also delete its associated image from our servers.

California residents may request details about categories of personal information collected and disclosures, and may request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by California law.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information (e.g., encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Third‑Party Links

The App may link to third‑party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the “Effective date.” If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law.
